I invited Helen Keller to come through me and paint her story.  This painting is about possibilities, opportunities, creation, fun, and magic.

The colors represent the following:
Blue green is about passion, communication, healing, intelligence and intuition Light blue is communication Ultramarine blue is wisdom of the unknown Iridescent pearl is Supreme Being

With honor and gratitude I give this painting to Dr. Kirk Adams, CEO of the American Foundation for the blind for their 100th Anniversary Gala.

9/11/2021 Blocks of Time acrylic and India ink on wood panel 36 x 36 in.

After being interviewed by Bloomberg Radio on my 9/11 experience for the twentieth anniversary, I knew that I had to paint a piece of those who parished that morning.

In creating this art, I asked the spirits of 9/11 to show us any messages they have for us.

This is what emerged. There are 4 paintings within this piece. Turn the piece and many voices will be seen.

Blue represents communication. Always. Naples Yellow Hue is a dawning of life. Iridescent Pearl is wisdom. Gold is our protective energy sourced from our Supreme Being. White is our Supreme Being, whatever you may call it. Bits of green show up on the canvas which represents healing. The India ink represents the Towers.

The amazing part of this for me are the colors and the mountainous and shell like components. Speaking to so many elements of me, blue and orange are Islanders colors, climbing Kilimanjaro, a past conquest has recently come full circle for me in a few ways, and the shells remind me of my journey recently with surfing ...and I havent yet gotten to experience it in person.
